Technical Leader, Wibe Group

Mora Technical Leader 42 dagar kvar
Do you want to take technical ownership of a product line backed by almost 100 years of Swedish engineering – while driving the development of tomorrow’s installation systems?

At Wibe, you will combine design engineering with hands-on testing and product responsibility – and play a key role in shaping tomorrow’s solutions for customers across the Nordic region and Europe.

About the role
As Technical Leader – ISM, you will be a driving force in the development of installation system products such as aluminium profiles, plastic trunking, sheet metal components and wiring devices used in both office environments and industrial facilities.

You will hold technical responsibility for the entire product line and lead development from concept to finished product: design, engineering, testing, validation and continuous improvements. The role does not include personnel responsibility but does involve clear ownership of your area and acting as the technical reference point for the products.

The work is varied and wide-ranging – some days you will be at the drawing board or in dialogue with marketing and sales; other days you will be in the test and validation lab together with the team, or collaborating with production and suppliers.

You will be part of a skilled and close-knit development team in Mora, working closely with the Engineering Manager Europe and two colleagues responsible for other product areas. In addition to working closely within the organisation, the role also involves interactions across the Nordic region, Europe and globally. Together, you will develop reliable, cost-effective and future-proof solutions.

Main responsibilities
  • drive the development and validation of aluminium profiles, plastic components, sheet metal components and wiring devices,
  • manage the entire product life cycle from concept to industrialisation,
  • create and execute test plans and analyse test results,
  • improve designs and processes using Six Sigma methodologies (VOC, FMEA, DOE, RCA, DFSS etc.),
  • collaborate closely with production in Mora and the Netherlands,
  • conduct technical discussions with external suppliers together with Procurement,
  • support Sales and Offer Marketing in the Nordic countries, the UK and internationally,
  • provide technical expertise for customer or market enquiries,
  • monitor trends in materials, design and manufacturing technologies.
The position is based in Mora, where you will work closely with development, sales and production. We prefer that you work on site, though some flexibility is available when needed.

Who you are
You are an experienced engineer who enjoys a role that combines technical depth with hands-on work and broad internal and external interactions. You are confident working independently, take responsibility for your area and appreciate the freedom to drive projects from idea to reality.

You are analytical, structured and easily collaborate across functions. At the same time, you are unpretentious, curious and keen to contribute to our ongoing development journey.

Your background
You have:
  • at least 10 years of experience in mechanical design and product development within, for example, aluminium extrusion, plastic injection moulding, sheet metal processing or wiring devices,
  • experience with 3D CAD (preferably Creo) and PLM systems,
  • a strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and product life cycles,
  • experience in testing and validation of mechanical products,
  • knowledge of Six Sigma and statistical methods,
  • experience from a global, cross-functional environment and work within technically advanced industries is an advantage.
As English is our corporate language, you must be able to communicate excellently in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
