The right candidate is someone who is an experienced leader and loves all things dessert. You are an unpretentious team player who has a passion for exceeding guest's expectations and creating memorable experiences through food.
 
This role will lead the planning, preparation, and execution of the pastry and bakery operations of the hotel which supplies our various outlets (restaurant, bar, breakfast, banqueting). 
 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
 
●       Lead our pastry/bakery team and oversee the production of high-quality desserts and pastries in line with our concepts.
●       To change menus seasonally according to the business needs.
●       To calculate the cost and price menus accordingly.
●       Take an innovative approach in the development of new recipes while maintaining consistency in quality and presentation.
●       To develop a strategy plan for the minimization of food wastage.
●       To assure the development and coaching/training all pastry/bakery kitchen team members.
●       To create schedules on a weekly basis based on the projected business demand levels.
●       To oversee the daily ordering of the necessary food products.
●       To perform inventory duties for bakery related products on a monthly basis.
●       To lead the recruitment of new team members.
●       To overview the HACCP control of our operation ensuring we are adhering to the set regulations.
●       To take an active position in the financial management of the kitchen department.
●       Act on kitchen related guest requests and problems in a manner that follows the hotels vision and policies 
 
 
Background and personal characteristics:
 
You are a creative team player highly experienced in menu development who thrives in a high-pace kitchen operation making exceptionally high quality food.
 
In addition,
 
●       Experience as a Pastry Chef, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within a high-volume kitchen or pastry operation.
●       Culinary degree or formal pastry chef training is required.
●       Strong knowledge of classical and modern pastry techniques, baking methods, and presentation.
●       Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
●       Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
●       Passion for creating innovative and visually appealing desserts.
●       Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
●       Understanding of inventory management and cost control.
●       Creative personality who enjoys developing concepts and thinking outside the box. 
●       Experienced in developing high quality menus.
●       Ambitious and interested in working in a high-pace environment with great standards.
●       Good sense of service and a genuine desire to exceed guests' and employees' expectations.
●       You enjoy structure and have good organizational skills.
●       High professional ethics.
●       You have a good network within the industry.
●       Able to fluently communicate verbally in English. Fluency in Swedish is a plus.
