About the role
As a Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Djerf Avenue, you will have a broad role in contributing to our organization and the structure of the company. You'll ensure the smooth operation of daily activities while keeping an eye out for opportunities to continue developing, streamlining, and enhancing operations. As COO, you'll be responsible for devising strategies and structures and overseeing their implementation to ensure clear and tangible operational guidelines for employees on a daily basis. In this role, you'll lead logistics functions and oversee, evaluate, and develop strategic partnerships. Additionally, you'll be tasked with establishing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and suppliers. While the COO is responsible for areas such as logistics/warehouse, legal/regulatory, operational excellence, IP/brand protection and will play a crucial role in driving projects, they naturally collaborate closely with the entire organization, reporting primarily to the company's CEO. Our COO will be an integral part of our future management team and will have key roles that report directly.
Examples of tasks
Operational Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive operational strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead the execution of operational initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and drive revenue growth across all business functions.
- Lead and be a part of projects/initiatives aligned with the company’s strategy and goals.
Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
- Optimize supply chain processes to minimize lead times, reduce costs, and improve product availability.
- Oversee strategic partnerships with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics providers to ensure reliability and scalability.
Fulfillment and Logistics:
- Manage fulfillment operations to ensure timely and accurate order processing, packing, and shipping.
- Implement best practices for warehouse management, including layout optimization, inventory control, and labor efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate and improve logistics networks to optimize transportation routes, reduce shipping times, and lower costs.
Drive operational excellence:
- Maintain a customer-centric approach to operations, focusing on delivering exceptional service and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the end-to-end customer experience, from browsing and ordering to delivery.
Risk and Legal Management:
- Identify and mitigate operational risks, including supply chain disruptions, regulatory compliance issues, and security threats.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in all aspects of operations (including IP and brand protection strategy).
- Develop and maintain business continuity plans to address potential emergencies or crises.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within e-commerce or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
- Experience in managing teams and direct reports.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment from a start-up, scale-up or similar environment.
- Experience from an established company with proven vertical growth is highly meritorious.
- Experience from a global company is meritorious (preferably companies that produce consumer goods).
- Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, and fulfillment operations.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing.
Location
The location of this role is in Stockholm, Sweden. You will be expected to work from our office in central Stockholm. Please make sure you have legal right or permission to work in Sweden, before applying for this role.
