Our client, who holds a fast growing portfolio of premium products which the customer can find in Specialist Trade, Independent Stores, the major DIY retailers and on the web, is now looking for the right person to take on a new exciting role as Sales Manager Scandinavia.

Initially you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the existing business in the area through own sales intitatives and over time you will recruit and lead a team with respresentation in each market. You will report to Sales Director, based in the UK.
You will be based ideally in Stockholm, Malmö or Gothenburg area and you work from your home office or from a shared office.
Extensive travel is required to succeed, to meet up with clients throughout Scandinavia, and occasional trips to the UK and Germany, visiting collegues and management.
*Your responsibilities as Sales Manager Scandinavia includes implementation and execution of sales strategies to extend market penetration in Scandinavia.
*You will work closely with the category managers and purchasers at Specialist Trade, Independent Stores and the major DIY businesses to promote, inform and support in the business of selling through at store level.
*You will hold negotiations, discuss pricing strategies, sales channels, monitor, and analyse on sales and marketing business plans, budgets and market information, reporting to HQ.
*In this role you will also be part of recruiting and developing new members of the sales teams, with the future in mind, whilst ensuring clear goals are set and achieved.
*Included in your assignment is also to manage the relevant report of financial information for the Scandinavian market.

Educated to degree level, but this is not prescriptive as relevant experience and track record are of greater importance. Fluency in Swedish and English are essential, Danish desirable.

Knowledge and Experience
*At least 3 years’ experience working in B2B sales and marketing roles at a senior level.
*A demonstrable track record of sales and market development in ideally outdoor, DIY etc.
*Ideally you have a good understanding an network within DYI, Outdoor in Scandinavia.
*Proven track record in presenting and selling to major B2C clients, retail chains, Specialist Trade and Independent Stores.
*Must be able to cite evidence of having significantly grown revenue, market share and bottom line profit in career to date.
*Sound knowledge and understanding of strategic marketing tools and techniques e.g. market development strategies.
*Experience of leading, coaching and developing Sales teams.
*Experience of developing, monitoring and reporting on sales and marketing business plans, budgets.
